  Research project

Silva did her bachelor degree at the University Regensburg under the guidance of Prof. Dr. W. Kunz in 2018. In the same year, she started her master´s degree at the TUM and joined the team in March 2020. Besides perovskites she likes dancing ballroom and Latin-American dances.

In her PhD project, Silva focuses on the synthesis of tailor-made A-site cations for new perovskite coordination networks. By making use of the whole synthetic freedom as provided by organic chemistry, she aims to incorporate exotic and rare material properties such as unusual structural aspects and counterintuitive responsitivity to pressure and temperature variation.
